In the petrochemical industry, the universal pulverizer can play a significant role. Dry mixing methods for adding and blending catalysts show noticeable catalytic effects, making them convenient and practical for industrial applications. The main objective of this study is to select the optimal catalyst and determine the best additive amount through testing. Due to the small size of the fluidized bed testing device, the feeding amount is limited and continuous feeding cannot be achieved. To ensure stable gas component production and achieve higher carbon conversion rates, the intermittent feeding time was extended from 15 minutes to 25 minutes. This change increased the carbon conversion rate from 56.4% to 92.5%, although the content of combustible components, gas heating value, and hourly gas heating value slightly decreased.

Processing and Pulverization

It is anticipated that the universal pulverizer can achieve continuous feeding in larger-sized circulating fluidized bed gasification units. With appropriate feeding amounts, higher carbon conversion rates can be achieved, and an increase in bed height prolongs the residence time of the gasification medium, improving the content of combustible components in the gas, gas heating value, and hourly gas heating value. Additionally, the presence of a return feed device and pressurized gasification in the circulating fluidized bed further enhances carbon conversion rates, gas heating values, and hourly gas heating values. Utilizing circulating fluidized bed technology for steam catalytic gasification of natural coke is an effective method for clean and efficient use of this high-energy fuel. It effectively addresses issues such as ignition difficulties and thermal explosiveness of natural coke, ensuring full resource utilization and presenting broad application prospects.
